How this works
Structural segmentation asks one measurable question: at which points does the sound of a track change more than it changes anywhere else? The file is reduced to log-spaced band energies, averaged into one-second blocks and compared with itself. Peaks in a checkerboard novelty curve over that self-similarity matrix become the boundaries.
Sections are then grouped by cosine similarity, so a repeated section gets the same letter. That is as far as the measurement goes. Calling a section a chorus is a separate, model-dependent claim, and this tool does not make it — you will see A, B and C, with the timings you need to navigate the file.
Useful in practice for finding loop points, checking whether an arrangement actually changes where you think it does, and marking up a reference track before you rebuild its shape in your own material.
